People in Need is one of the largest non-profit organizations in Central Europe. We focus on humanitarian aid, development cooperation, the promotion of human rights, education and social work. The IT department is a twelve-member team that provides IT services for colleagues working on missions abroad, in the regions of the Czech Republic and at our Prague headquarters. We are looking for a reinforcement in the position of IT Support for our expanding IT team within the Prague headquarters.

  • Contract: indefinite duration employment contract, 20–40 hours / week
  • Starting Date: upon agreement
  • Salary: 32,000 - 42,000 CZK gross per month (range according to the candidate's experience)

General Position Summary of Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • assist and advise the staff of People in Need on technical matters; 
  • communicate in English with local IT staff in the 20 countries where we operate and support them remotely in their work; 
  • train users and colleagues abroad in the use of new technologies; 
  • automate and optimize IT processes; 
  • configure phones, computers, routers, and other devices.

Position Requirements: 

  • interest in the IT field, willingness to develop skills and continue in learning; 
  • pleasant demeanor and desire to help patiently; 
  • advanced knowledge of Windows and Office; 
  • intermediate knowledge of computer networks, virtualization and Windows servers; 
  • setting up network printers, scanners, routers; 
  • English at intermediate (and higher) level, both written and spoken; 
  • independence, reliability, can do attitude.

We Appreciate: 

  • knowledge of basics in Microsoft Office 365 (Teams, SharePoint,…); 
  • PowerShell programming; ESET antivirus and its administration;  
  • orientation in the environment of Atlassian (Jira, Confluence).
