REPORT_ Recommendation for systemic changes, BIH 2021
The report (in Bosnian) was created based on an analysis of the legal framework in Bosnia and Herzegovina pertaining to employment of Persons with Disabilities (PwDs), but also considering the findings gathered through a survey of existing practices. The report provides an overview of the situation and recommendations for systemic changes that should be implemented in order to improve the employment situation of people with disabilities.
The findings of this research show that the position of PWDs when it comes to employment opportunities is almost the same in FBiH and RS, with some exceptions. In practice, it is seen that a radical amendment of the Law on Vocational Rehabilitation, Training and Employment of Persons with Disabilities (for Federation of BiH) or the Law on Vocational Rehabilitation, Training and Employment of Persons with Disabilities (for Republica of Srpska) is needed to open greater and better employment opportunities for persons with disabilities.
The research was conducted within the project "My job - Economic Opportunities for People with Disabilities", which was implemented by People in Need Bosnia and Herzegovina in cooperation with partners: Nešto više, ProReha and the Udruženje Sumero in 2020/2021.
