People in Need is the largest non-profit organization in Central and Eastern Europe, operating in the field of humanitarian and development aid, support for human rights, and social inclusion. At present, more than 2400 employees work in our Humanitarian and Development section in 23 countries in Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and Eastern Europe. We are currently looking for an Executive Assistant for the Humanitarian and Development Department (RDD).
About the position:
The main task of the Junior Human Resources Officer (JHRO) is to support Human Resources Officers (HRO), HQ desk and regional teams. The job responsibilities are in tasks related to the employee life cycle of PIN RDD employees and international staff based on the guidance from HRO, in particular in recruitment, onboarding and offboarding.The JHRO tasks include support in recruitment of HQ positions and senior CP positions and coordinating the recruitment process of junior roles. JHRO actively coordinates the HR administration related to the onboarding process, and the termination procedures.
JHRO contributes to ensuring that the HR standards and procedures are followed on the best possible level. JHRO also supports HR processes in the regions when needed.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Recruitment:- works in cooperation with HR Assistant, providing support to all phases of the recruitment process, including direct communication with the candidates, in absence of HRA acts as her/his gap - filler
- ensures the job advertisement is published in all relevant media,
- works with the SAP Success Factor (HRIS) to manage the applications; acts as the responsible HR point recruitment of junior roles and interns
- checks the references both internally and externally;
- with guidance from HRO, JHRO actively researches new candidates and
- maintains talent pool;
- participates in preparation and organisation of Assessment Centre (AC).
- The JHRO supervises the onboarding procedures and coordinates with other support departments,
- coordinates the onboarding process of new HQ staff;
- finalizes termination checklist in HRIS according to PIN HR procedure.
- The JHRO guarantees that necessary data and documents are collected and adequately stored in existing PIN systems.
- coordinates the preparation of volunteer and internship contracts
- responsible for regularly sending RDD vacancies and adjusting the organigram
- responsible for sharing the Confidentiality Agreements with newly appointed staff;
- DPP agenda – preparing the data with the Line Managers
- administers the mailing list in cooperation with the Executive Officer of the RDD Directorate
Main Requirements:
- At least one professional experience in the field of human resources (2 years);
- Educational background in the field is an advantage.
- Previous experience in the non-profit sector is an advantage
- You have a good level of English - minimum B2 (communication with colleagues and all internal documents are in English)
- You speak fluent Czech/ Slovak
- You have excellent communication and organizational skills
- You are reliable, flexible and have a positive approach to new challenges
- You can organise your work independently
- Prior experience in administrative work (knowledge of Outlook, Microsoft tools is required)
