Our Jeseník office has been operating since April 2015. Social workers from our organisation had been working in the area for some before the office was established. A monitoring team operated in the Mikulovice area from April to September 2014 and provided social services from September to December 2014. Establishing the office itself was merely a logical outcome of the survey findings which indicated an urgent need for field services in the locality both for individuals and for the families in difficult life situations that included unemployment, substandard housing conditions, debt issues etc.

There are twenty four towns in Jeseník County. Jeseník is the former county town. This spa town is now a municipality with extended competence and a commissioned municipal council. People in Need does not operate in the whole area of the municipality with extended competence of Jeseník, but provides services only in a few municipalities. Our workers are able to work also with people with a registered address outside the towns and municipalities mentioned below but the meeting can take place only in one of them:

  • Bělá pod Pradědem (Adolfovice, Bělá, Domašov, Filipovice)
  • Jeseník (Bukovice, Dětřichov)
  • Lipová-lázně (Bobrovník, Horní Lipová)
  • Ostružná
  • Česká Ves
  • Hradec-Nová Ves
  • Supíkovice
  • Velké Kunětice (Františkov, Strachovičky)
