We fully support the joint appeal of 55 humanitarian organisations:

These measures pose a direct threat to impartial, lifesaving aid for millions in Gaza. They undermine core humanitarian principles—neutrality, independence, and impartiality—and expose humanitarian staff to potential surveillance and retaliation.

Under the new policy, NGOs may be denied registration based on perceived political positions, such as support for accountability for violations of international law. Organisations are also required to disclose personal data of staff and their families to Israeli authorities—even those already registered risk de-registration.

We call on the international community to go beyond expressions of concern. Donors and states must act to protect humanitarian space, ensure the independence of aid operations, and shield organisations from politically motivated restrictions and legal risks. The right to deliver humanitarian aid without interference must be upheld.

Our activities in Gaza

Since late 2023, we have been supporting humanitarian efforts in Gaza through our partner War Child. In recent months alone, we have helped provide psychological first aid and recreational activities to over 15,000 children and caregivers affected by the conflict.
