Turkey: Emergency Preparedness & Response
With the near constant influx of refugees and asylum seekers over the years, there is also a near constant need of emergency provisions. In 2019, Turkey accounted for over a quarter of all humanitarian aid globally, outspending every other country on aid since 2017. It remains the country with the highest amount of refugees and asylum seekers per capita.
Through its Turkey program, PIN commenced a humanitarian response in Euphrates Shield Area (ESA) in 2018 and continues to respond to humanitarian needs in the area. PIN is committed to the continuation of providing humanitarian assistance to vulnerable people in Turkey and northern Syria, while sharing its expertise and know-how with local associations seeking a sustainable approach to aid.
