Contract Length: 12 months (starting September 2024 or ASAP), with possibility of shifting to regular full-time contract in the future

Base: Bukavu (with frequent travels to the field)

Formed in 1992 in the Czech Republic, PIN has grown to be the biggest organization of its kind in post-communist Europe, providing relief where it is needed, and empowering civil society at home and abroad.
PIN has been working in the Democratic Republic of Congo since 2008. We work with local communities and partners to fight malnutrition. We help improve access to clean water, hygiene, and quality healthcare. Our efforts also focus on climate resilience, agriculture, supporting livelihoods, and ensuring food and financial security through multi-purpose cash distributions. Operating primarily in South Kivu with a team of approximately 150 staff members, PIN has been a steadfast presence in DR Congo, assisting hundreds of thousands of people annually, particularly those affected by long-term conflict and poverty.
About the role:
You will be working within a humanitarian context, cooperating with local and international partner NGOs, supporting the finance department at the national level, and also cooperating with the desk colleagues at the HQ level. We are looking for a person with a proactive and solution-oriented approach who will be able to support the Head of Finance with regular tasks such as forecasting, reporting, and financial administration of project implementation, as well asProject Manager(s) with financial and administrative oversight of his/her (their) project(s) .
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
· Under direct supervision of HoF, ensure the administrative and financial follow-up of the new BHA-funded project, including frequent spot-checks and short-term supervisions of the field office with focus on strengthening of relevant financial-administrative agendas and procedures at the field and central level
· Creation, maintenance and regular updating of forecast files under the supervision of HoF
· Supporting the HoF with the review of financial data and preparation of the financial reports and proposals
· Supporting the HoF with data collection and updating regionally used financial tools and data analysis
· Monitoring donor instalments and coordinating with HQ colleagues
· Supporting HoF with reporting, audits, budget preparation and regular allocation of costs into projects
· Support the cooperation of PIN with other NGOs
· Supporting country program and HQ teams in case of understaffing and unexpected workload
Main requirements:
· Advanced Excel skills as you will handle Pivot Tables and other complex functions
· Communicative level of English, at least basic knowledge of French (or a strong motivation to learn) is a must
· Working effectively and collaboratively in support of building a team-based culture of work
· Ability to communicate clearly not only within PIN team but also with our local partners
· Eye for detail
· Experience with administrative or finance positions preferable, relevant training will be provided
PIN Offers:
Contract: Volunteer Service Agreement with possibility of shifting to regular full-time contract after 3-6 months
· Volunteer Allowance: In line with Volunteer meal allowance whilst in DRC in the amount of 1,800 USD per month;
