On 9th May 2016  just after 5pm, Hafsergah village in western Idlib countryside in Syria was hit in an airstrike. Two missiles struck the centre of the village, just a few hundred metres from the local school. Many shops and houses were damaged in the attacks and some were completely destroyed.

Dozens of people were injured in the attack, and two children were killed. These children aged just 10 and 13 years old were students at the local school, a school supported by PIN and the EU. It is with great sadness that we report the news of their passing.
